People think its funny that I'm freaking out about getting old at 26 (I even think its funny), but the truth is, I'm not even in the ballpark of where I want to be, or where I planned to be...and I'm not just talking about economically. I'm talking about the whole shebang; financially, socially, spiritually, emotionally, logistically, geographically, educationally (is that a word?)...ok, you get my point.

One thing that has become abundantly clear to me over the last couple years, is that you really have to be your own white knight, though personally I've always preferred cowboys...but I digress.

So what is a 6th year community college student in the midst of a quarter-life crisis to do? Get a Harley, a word processor and a 100 piece Craftsman tool kit. Between riding, writing and wrenching I should accomplish something productive...right?

Does Feminism = Man Hating?

Feminism has been cast in a negative light for the last handful of decades. I was accused of being a feminist by a friend and I took offense. In society today it seems like people define feminism as "man hating" or a movement that desires to give women more privileges than men, or put women ahead of men. Well here it is folks, the text book definition of feminism.

Feminism: A belief in the political, social, and economic equality of men and women.

Wow, what a concept. I now consider myself well informed and thank you Brandon, yes I guess that makes me a feminist.

    Why would a man be accusatory about this?? Are they that weak that they don't or can't stand to see a woman do well for herself? I adore my man.I like men and don't hate them...for the most part unless they prove themselves unlikable as an individual.

    God likes women...look how he made us the lifegivers on this planet.

    Thanks Beth! I don't understand why there has to be animosity between the genders. We're all people and our differences are suppose to compliment eachother. I imagine weak individuals are just looking for people to put down, to make themselves feel better; or for people to blame when life doesn't go their way.
